Talented designer Teddy Santis continues to add his touch to cult NEW BALANCE models. In addition to unveiling new NB 650s and bringing the RAINIER trail shoe back to the forefront, NB’s Made in USA creative director is expanding his NB 550 line under his Aimé Leon Dore label.
The iconic bball sports a simple and elegant « streetwear-chic » ALD signature look and appears in 3 color options. Two very similar « White Leather » and « Grey Suede » and one different « Navy Suede ».
The first two consist of a white mesh upper, complemented by overlays of different colors and materials depending on the version : leather for the white pair and light grey suede for the grey version. The tongue branding appears very discreet on the « White Leather » while it’s presented in bright blue on « Grey Suede ». Both pairs have a yellowed vintage midsole.
The « Navy Suede » is adorned with an upper combining mesh and navy blue suede. To complete the look, the tongue and branding, heel clip, inner lining and laces also appear in navy blue. The side N logo is dressed in tonal suede and has contrasting white outlines. A light gray midsole and yellowed outsole finish the look.
All 3 versions feature co-branding on the tongue, heel and insoles.
