After the successful return of the NB 550, the chic streetwear brand AIME LEON DORE, is set to relaunch another silhouette from the New Balance catalog. This time, designer Teddy Santis is moving away from basketball to a less popular trail model, the Rainer.
With the help of ALD’s founder, this New Balance boot takes on an eye-catching retro-chic look. The collaborative pair surfaced in 2 initial colorways : Navy/Grey and Brown/Water Green.
It consits of a durable Cordura upper, complemented by suede overlays and a waterproof Gore-Tex underlay. The trail look is confirmed by metal eyelets and a rugged lugged outsole equipped with Vibram technology. To complete the design, the pair is adorned with the NB logo on the quarter panel and on the tongue tag. The Aimé Leon Doré branding is only found subtly on the insole.
These special versions will be delivered with extra sets of laces and in an elegant co-branded box.
