Since its collab last September with Japanese leader ASICS, the Los Angeles streetwear brand PLEASURES has been rather discreet. Now it’s back with a new project developed with London-based footwear brand STEPNEY WORKERS CLUB.
Founded in 2018 by Simon See and Roger Pereira, STEPNEY WORKERS CLUB (SWC) is a young English brand specialized in canvas and leather sneakers. It takes its name from a workers club in East London, as there were many in the 1920s. This label continues the philosophy of these old clubs : it takes up the slogan « Freedom of thought, freedom of sport » and offers sneakers with a simple design and affordable prices.
PLEASURES and SWC share a common love for culture, music and lifestyle.
Alex James and Vlad Elkin brought their bold touch to the SWC « Dellow » silhouette, the sneaker with a workwear inspired design.
Available in « Black » or « Sand », it consists of a high quality, wear-resistant full-grain nubuck leather upper. This base is contrasted by a thick and comfortable vulcanized sole, gum colored for the « Black » version and black for the « Sand » iteration. The color of the sole matches the tongue which features the SWC logo on one foot and PLEASURES on the other. The ‘PLEASURES’ branding also appears on the quarter panel, as a royal blue/white tag on the black pair and printed in bright orange on the ‘Sand’ version. To finalize the workwear look, this collaborative « Dellow » features silver metallic D-rings as eyelets and thick round laces in two-tone hiking rope.
The pair is delivered in an exclusive box and comes with 3 sets of two-tone laces.
