PUMA brand has been making eye-catching collaborations. After recently working with Dapper Dan and Pokémon, the German sportswear label presents a collaboration with Perks and Mini (P.A.M). This exclusive outdoor-inspired collection is the first installment of a larger joint project : the PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE, which aims to reconnect the community with nature.

As part of this project, the two brands have also entered into a partnership with the DEEP BioDATA platform. This platform works closely with Instituto Juruá and Rainforest Connection – which supports the installation of biodiversity monitoring technology in one of the world’s last wild places : the Jurua River region in the western Brazilian Amazon.

P.A.M aka Perks and Mini is a fashion and lifestyle brand founded in 2000 in Melbourne by Misha Hollenbach and Shauna Toohey, and based in Paris since 2015. It incorporates fine finishes and conceptual prints with classic streetwear pieces. This label wants to put forward avant-garde graphic designs in order to create stylish clothes that are different and playful. It adopts a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to art and design. P.A.M. regularly partners with innovative artists such as Mike Kelley, Fergadelic and Geneviève Gauckler.

About the collaboration with PUMA, Shauna Toohey, co-founder of Perks and Mini, said : « From the beginning, we saw this project as an opportunity to create something together that could go beyond fashion, and the PUMA team was immediately supportive. So, as part of the WFP/PUMA BIO/VERSE, we proposed to create a project that works to protect the planet’s endangered wild spaces; the same kind of places that inspired the collection. »

For the 1st offering of this partnership, PUMA AND P.A.M have reinterpreted 4 shoe models and offer us 20 styles of clothing and accessories.

The collection is inspired by the Yareta, a cushion-shaped flowering plant found in the Andes Mountains. It presents a rich and varied color palette from the shades found in the lush nature.

On the footwear side, we discover a classic Puma Suede revamped with a combination of blue/grey/yellow and brown and equipped with a speckled sole. The performance Puma Prevail disc comes in a gradient of grey, blue and light pink, and features a technical double lacing system. The Puma Nano has been modified to have a more trail-oriented look. It features a black neoprene stand-up collar, heel and tongue pulls, and flower motifs on the sides. A purple/blue/black/pink/white Puffy Sandal with a floral print completes the line.

The apparel collection includes down jackets, jackets, fleece suits, cargo pants, polo shirts and t-shirts, as well as caps and bucket hats. The fabrics used in the collection are biodegradable and include 20% recycled fiber and 100% down jacket fill. Misha Hollenbach explained : « We wanted to create clothing that was comfortable for a seamless transition between city and nature, connecting the two. »

As far as additional accessories go, the partners offer us other essentials for exploring the outdoors : backpacks, water bottles and their strapped cases.

The Perks and Mini (P.A.M) x PUMA collection will be released on November 5, 2022 in stores and online at partner sites puma.com and perksandmini.com. Be ready !
