A few days after offering us a collection designed with the legend of Harlem Dapper Dan, the iconic brand PUMA remains in the spotlight by unveiling a collab with Pokémon.
After CdG, Clarks or Balmain, Pokémon adds the PUMA brand to the list of its collaborators for its special « 25th anniversary » capsules starting in 2021.
This new opus consists of 5 sneaker styles inspired by the most iconic Pokémon characters.
Bulbasaur is represented on the Rider FV, Charmander gets its own 1987 Slipstream Lo, Squirtle appears on the iconic Suede and PIKACHU is featured on 2 silhouettes : the Rider FV (just like Bulbasaur) and the RS-X.
Each silhouette takes on the appearance of the character it honors and is made of materials chosen with precision to ensure this effect. The face of the Pokémon in question is emblazoned on the Puma branded tongue tag and the exclusive hangtag hanging from the upper eyelet. To affirm the Pokémon homage, the heel is adorned with the element symbol that corresponds to the character depicted and the inside of the tongue features its Pokédex number. Each pair has a white midsole and a black or color-coordinated outsole, except for the Suede Squirtle which has a fully translucent icy sole.
These special editions will be delivered in co-branded boxes exclusively designed for the occasion.
The Pokémon x PUMA collection will be released on November 12, 2022 in family sizes, at select retailers and on puma.com.
