Already appreciated by sneakerheads in normal times, the slides are even more popular during this particularly hot summer 2022. The American giant NIKE takes part in the game by unveiling new versions. In addition to having invited Matthew M. Williams to create an exclusive model (article available HERE), the Swoosh brand presents an Air More UPTEMPO transformed into a slide.
Although modified into a slide, the famous sneaker, originally created for Scottie Pippen, keeps its DNA and especially its iconic large letters AIR on the sides. The very first version is inspired by the OG colorway « Black/White ». It features a black perforated nubuck base with a tonal embroidered mini-Swoosh and white outlined AIR on the side panels. To complete the look, the footbed appears in black, as does the sole with full-length Air-Sole units.
