Matthew M. Williams x Nike Zoom 5 Clog

Renowned designer Matthew M. Williams and sportswear giant NIKE continue their successful partnership with a new collaborative pair. The founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM and creative director of Givenchy offers us a bold « Volt/Black » variation of the MMW Zoom 5 Clog, which previously appeared in neutral grey and then black (article available HERE).

Slides are very popular models at the moment.

Like Adidas with Kanye West and his Yeezy Slides or Crocs with its clogs revisited by Salehe Bembury, Nike wanted to call on an avant-garde designer to create an eye-catching version of sandals. The choice fell on Matthew M. Williams, the famous designer who knows how to marry streetwear with haute-couture in the right way.

Simply named Nike Zoom MMW 5 clog, this shoe has a futuristic look. It consists of a foam upper color Volt with circular perforations of different sizes, arranged in 3 groups on the sides of the upper and the insole. The Swoosh and MMW logos appear in a subtle embossed fashion at the center of the foot and the toe box adopts a square shape. The look is completed by a thick 2-layer sole in 2 colorways, Volt and Black, and meticulously crafted with side vents to accentuate breathability, comfort and water drainage.

The Matthew M. Williams x Nike Zoom 5 Clog (MMW ZOOM Clog) will be released in the coming months at select retailers and on nike.com. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
