As rumors are circulating that the original Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall « Lemonade » will be released on November 26, 2020, the Beaverton-based giant unveils a pink iteration of « Strawberry Lemonade ». This follows the green version « Limeade » released in September (article available HERE).
Honoring the emblematic « Powerwall » collection of 2006, the silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield is now dressed in a shade of gourmet pink.
It is composed of an upper combining mesh on the toe box and nylon on the middle of the foot and collar, with leather overlays. The mudguard and side swoosh are in smooth pale pink leather, while the side panels and heel are covered with a white « air » retro 70’s style pattern. Reflective 3M details, a strawberry logo on the tongue label and light yellow laces complete the look. In a final nod to the original 2006 « Lemonade », the vintage light yellow insole features a strawberry and lemon print and the air label appears in lemon color on the back of the heel. The whole is based on a white midsole with the yellowed-transparent Air unit combined with a black outsole.
Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall « Strawberry Lemonade » will be released on November 12, 2020 at selected retailers and on Nike.com for 140€. Don’t sleep !
