New Balance 2002R « Conversation amongst us » By Joe Freshgoods

The New Balance « Conversation Amongst Us » campaign led by talented designer Joe Freshgoods is revealed in a little more detail. A few days after the presentation of the 550 from this special pack (article available HERE), the 2002R has surfaced.

As a reminder, « Conversation Amongst Us » is a campaign created to promote exchange and brotherhood. It aims to highlight the interactions within the black community and promote dialogue with other communities.

New Balance has already donated $100,000 to Community Goods, the non-profit organization whose mission is to help and support young aspiring designers.

The creative director of this campaign, Joe Freshgoods, has specially redesigned 4 NB silhouettes : The 550 that appeared earlier this month, the 2002R presented today and the 574 and Kawhi 2 that will surface soon.

The NB 2002R « Conversation Amongst Us » is dressed in similar tones to the 550.

It consists of a cream ripstop fabric upper, complemented by overlays of grained leather, smooth leather and off-white suede. To ensure the look, the pair is also adorned with finishes and small inserts of orange color. A touch of contrast is provided by the bright blue NB tongue tag, and the blue, green, orange and white « Conversation Amongst Us » logo adorning the off-white insole. The campaign name is also etched in dark orange on the back of the light orange suede heels. As for the iconic side N, it appears in reflective 3M on a yellowed background with black outlines. To finalize the design harmoniously, the whole is based on an off-white midsole and a semi-translucent orange rubber outsole.
