Equipment manufacturer Reebok completes its Minions collection by adding a sneaker paying tribute to the laboratory located under Gru’s house, where the little yellow creatures work. Allen Iverson’s mythical silhouette, the Reebok Question Mid, was chosen to continue this collaboration.
Contrary to the first two pairs Instapump Fury and Club C unveiled a few days ago (article available HERE), the color yellow is abandoned in favor of metallic silver, corresponding to the aesthetics of the underground laboratory.
This shoe, which was seen in preview at the feet of the Clippers’ basketball player Montrezl Harrell, consists of a black synthetic upper with shiny metallic silver overlays. At the back of the shoe, we discover the G of Gru and engraved and relief patterns, including a skull in the middle of the heel. To complete the reference to the lab, a green neon viscous tube is inserted into the laces eyelets, a yellow and black print reminiscent of the danger ribbon is visible under the foot and bright red accents appear on different parts of the shoe. The grey and black mesh tongue, inner lining and round laces in black colour complete the look. The whole is based on a grey midsole and black outsole, underneath which a rocket ship graphic and the Reebok logo highlighted by the neon green color can be seen.
The Minions x Reebok Question Mid « Gru’s Lab » will be released along with the other two models in this special collection on October 1, 2020 in selected stores and on Reebok.com.
