HANON x adidas EQT Race Walk « Working Men’s Club »

The 30th anniversary of the adidas EQT line continues with a new collaboration. After the retailer Solebox (article available HERE), the Scottish shop HANON participates in the festivities by reimagining a vintage silhouette, the Race Walk.

Named « Working Men’s Club », this collaborative sneaker marks the 1st re-release of the Race Walk silhouette since the EQT’s debut in 1991.

It’s inspired by the places where « working men » met after work in the 90s, such as pubs with pool tables and dart boards, or clubs where bingo or cabaret shows were held.

As a nod to the interior design of these drinking establishments and gathering halls, this sneaker combines a beige suede upper with brown corduroy overlays. To accentuate the reference, elements appear in bright, contrasting colors, such as the blue inner lining and bright orange 3 Stripes. The latter are usually presented in nylon with straight finishes. Like last year’s ZX 420 collaborative, HANON presents them in suede with serrated finishes. This exclusive Race Walk features HANON and adidas branding in burgundy and black embroidered on the heel and applied to the insole. To optimize comfort and lightness, the shoe, originally designed for walking, has an EVA midsole, dressed in black for the occassion. The whole is based on a gumsole

The HANON x adidas EQT Race Walk « Working Men’s Club » will be released exclusively by HANON via an open raffle until November 12, 2021 and accessible at launches.hanon-shop.com. The price is set at 135$ (100£) and sizesrun US 4.5 to US 13. Don’t sleep !
