The giant adidas unveils a new part of its long-standing partnership with Disney. After recently offering a collab with designer Sean Wotherspoon featuring Jiminy Cricket (article available HERE), the brand with the 3 stripes presents a ZX 8000 and a ZX 10000 inspired by the most famous fawn : « Bambi ».
This duo of silhouettes pays tribute to the little deer of Virginia who would have today 79 years. Each pair features the details and color palette of the famous fawn, but in very different dosages.
The ZX 8000 features a brown canvas upper that is fully speckled in reference to the little animal’s coat. The design is complemented by beige and light pink accents. The former is found on the adidas 3-Stripes, inner lining and TPU heel cup, while the latter is found on the eyelets, midsole insert and laces. A cream midsole paired with a semi-translucent yellowed rubber outsole provides the finishing touch.
The ZX 10000 has a more subdued look. It features a white base with mostly beige overlays and light pink overlays on the side panels. The mottled brown « fawn hair » pattern stands out on the iconic 3-Stripes and heel. To complete the look, the inner lining is presented in satin and black accents appear at the top of the heel and on the Trefoil logo. The whole is based on a cream midsole and rubber outsole.
To affirm the homage, both silhouettes benefit from a beige insole covered with an illustration of Bambi and a co-branding adorning the tongue tag.
The Disney x adidas ZX 8000 & ZX 10000 « Bambi » are expected to be released soon at select retailers and on adidas.com, priced around 130$ per model. More info to come, stay tuned !
