The Japanese brand UNIQLO presents from time to time hyper expected collabs with prestigious fashion brands. At the end of the year 2021, it had proposed us a collection elaborated with JW Anderson (article available HERE). For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, UNIQLO has partnered for the first time with the Italian luxury brand MARNI.
Teased for a few weeks on social networks, this exclusive and limited collection is presented in details today.
Imagined on the theme of « universality », it consists of 16 pieces for women and 20 pieces for men, which mix the colorful and vibrant universe of MARNI with the minimalist chic style of UNIQLO. The Japanese brand’s silhouettes have been reinvented in the image of the luxury house.
Francesco Risso, Marni’s designer and creative director, said : « I am particularly excited about this collaboration. We interpreted the spirit of life wear with a slightly offbeat proposal, combining impeccable cuts with Marni’s original style ».
The capsule includes parkas, jackets, blazers, pants, shorts, skirts, button-down shirts with short or long sleeves, graphic t-shirts and pairs of socks. Some items come in solid colors, but most feature Marni’s signature daisy (floral) prints, stripes or checks. The color palette ranges from navy to white, beige, yellow, pink, red, orange, sky blue and khaki green.
The Marni x Uniqlo collection will be released on May 19, 2022 in limited edition in UNIQLO stores and online at uniqlo.com. Prices range from 13€ for the socks to 150€ for the parka. T-shirts are 25€ and pants are 50€. MARNI at UNIQLO prices, don’t sleep !
