Northern Ireland fashion designer JW ANDERSON is teaming up once again with Japanese brand UNIQLO. Having collaborated for the first time in 2017, the 2 partners return today with an autumn/winter 2021 collection evoking the English countryside and paying homage to the classic tales of Beatrix Potter.
Jonathan Anderson founded his brand JW ANDERSON in 2008 and then launched his fashion house in London. Beginning with an elaborate accessories collection, JW ANDERSON has received rave reviews and commercial success. Specializing in menswear, the innovative and forward-thinking British label then went on to create womenswear starting in 2010. JW ANDERSON has collaborated with a number of fashion brands, including Versace.
For this new collaborative project, the designer explains : « This collection is meant to be a true tribute to the season. I wanted to create pieces that were definitely autumnal, more specifically evoking autumn in the English countryside. My goal was for these clothes to be comfortable, easy to wear and cozy in a way. »
The collection is adorned with an autumnal color palette that ranges from navy blue to forest green, with touches of off-white, tan, grey and red. Some pieces appear in solid colors, others two-tone, with or without iconic check patterns or special illustrations.
Elaborated with great care in a cosy spirit, the line includes 11 products for women, 10 for men, 2 unisex and 7 accessories. Among others, we discover sweaters and zipped jackets in polar, flannel and fleece pants, quilted jackets, oversized t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, socks, as well as a plaid and a pillow. To honor Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, the famous characters from Beatrix Potter’s tales, the t-shirts and sweatshirts are adorned with an illustration of the famous rabbit cousins.
This collaboration includes both homewear and accessories.
