After offering us a collaboration with the shop ACRIBIK (article available HERE), the quality sneaker brand KangaROOS has participated in a high-end and unique 3-way project ! In honor of the release of the latest BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, the Indonesian branch of the German car brand teamed up with the Indonesian lifestyle label inspired by space exploration AGELESS GALAXY for an exclusive collection. The 2 partners also called upon KangaROOS to imagine a special version of the famous Coil R1 silhouette.
Named « Mentality », this iconic running shoe is limited to 250 pieces. To assert exclusivity, each pair will be numbered.
The Coil R1 is handcrafted in Germany at the iconic Hummel&Hummel factory in KangaROOS.
This special version consists of a black mesh upper with matching nubuck overlays. Neon green leather along the collar and top of the tongue adds a nice touch of contrast. To complete the look and assert the theme, the sneaker features signature blue BMW stripes along the white DYNACOIL technology midsole and white AGLYX & BMW graphics on the mudguard. Other branding details, such as the KangaROOS logo on the side panels and tongue branding are also featured in white. At the heel, we see the « BMW THE 2 » on the left foot and « AGLXY » on the right foot. The whole is based on a black outsole that harmoniously finalizes the design.
The sneaker comes with 3 sets of laces, a special card detailing the collaboration and in a box exclusively designed for the occasion.
This KangaROOS Coil R1 « Mentality » will be released along with the AGELESS GALAXY x BMW collaborative collection of apparel and accessories, including a jacket, cardigan, short and long sleeve graphic tees, sweatpants and a cap.
After an exclusive release at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the AGLXY x BMW x KangaROOS Coil R1 « Mentality », limited to 250 pieces, will be launched on August 22, 2022 in stores and on aglxy.com. Be ready !
