True to its values, the independent brand AFEW GOODS, from the famous German store AFEW, unveils a new committed collaboration. After offering us a « Coffee-SALIDA DEL SOL » capsule (article available HERE), Marco and Andreas Biergen have teamed up with Tim and Lars from BEBANANAS to create an exclusive t-shirt.
BEBANANAS was born in 2013 when Tim and Lars returned from Australia with a suitcase full of banana bread recipes. Each recipe said, « The riper the banana, the tastier the banana bread ». Seeing this as a brake on food waste, the two friends took action. In cooperation with « Ihr Bäcker Schüren », an artisanal bakery with 20 branches that has adopted a unique and sustainable energy and logistics concept, their banana breads are made from bananas that the trade considers worthless. Many tons of bananas have been saved from the trash since 2013, thanks to their « Banana Bread to Save Food » concept. Currently, their savings amount to 10 tons of bananas per month.
Sensitive to this eco-responsible approach and wishing to promote it, the founders of AFEW GOODS have teamed up with BEBANANAS to design an exclusive unisex t-shirt « Urban Landmarks ».
Designed by @kilian_vandewater, the short-sleeved tee appears in black with the white AFEW GOODS logo on the chest. An illustration in shades of beige and the inscription URBAN LANDMARKS adorn the back.
