Renowned French DJ VLADIMIR CAUCHEMAR unveils an exclusive new project. The French electro-master is showcasing his creativity through an unexpected – but highly effective – collab with hometown soccer club Le Stade de Reims and equipment manufacturer UMBRO.
Vladimir Cauchemar designed the fourth jersey for the team he supports.
This exclusive piece features a dark design inspired by the artist’s universe, and pays homage to the retro long-sleeved jerseys of the 90s. With its oversized cut, the jersey was originally worn for sports, but has been designed to fit into the lifestyle range too.
Black in color, it features subtle, eye-catching motifs such as the double notches on the collar and sleeves evoking the flag of Champagne. The Stade de Reims fourth jersey is also adorned with elements representative of Vladimir Cauchemar’s style – notably the “VLADIMIR 12 LOKOMOTIV SOUND” flocking on the back – and sponsors’ logos in silver-gray.
Stade de Reims commented on the collab : “A collector’s jersey, symbolizing an intense passion, that of the Rouge et Blanc, which the French electronic music producer has supported since childhood. The decision was taken to leave the artistic direction and total creative freedom to the artist, who drew his inspiration from the vintage long-sleeved shirts produced by Umbro in the early 90s and worn by some of the greatest teams in the English league.”
He added : “A jersey that’s already putting stars in fans’ eyes, on which strong symbols of the region are interwoven, such as the double potentate and counter-potentate cotices present on the Champagne flag visible on the collar and sleeves.”
The Vladimir Cauchemar x Stade de Reims x Umbro ‘Maillot Fourth’ was produced in limited quantities of 800. Released online on March 1 at 6.00pm on the Stade de Reims website, it will also be launched at the Delaune boutique from Saturday March 2 at 10.00am (while stocks last).
