After collaborating with major brands such as adidas and The North Face, the Japanese fashion label United Arrows is teaming up once again with New Balance. After revisiting the NB 1500 and the 997H, the trio of Japanese designers has reworked the timeless lifestyle silhouette NB 1700. A collaborative version in « Dark Grey » colorways is presented to us today.
The shoe consists of a dark grey mesh upper with overlays in leather and suede in the same colour. To unify the design, the tongue, inner lining, laces and eyelets appear in grey too. Also, the heel and tongue brandings subtly stand out in tone-on-tone. The small N logo on the side is highlighted by its white thread embroidered contours, as is the « 1700 » on the heel counter. To complete the design, 3M reflective details are applied to the heel and the middle of the foot. The whole is based on a white ABZORB midsole with a touch of grey under the heel, combined with a thin black outsole.
The United Arrows x New Balance 1700 « Dark Grey » is available from 24 August 2020 for pre-order on United-Arrows.co.jp and will be delivered in early November 2020. The advertised price is 180€.
