Two years ago, Nike celebrated the release of the third season of the hit American series STRANGER THINGS with a special collection. In addition to other collaborations, the famous Netflix saga unveils a capsule designed with the legendary Californian brand VANS.
This new opus follows the launch of the 4th season of Stranger Things.
It consists of a range of clothing and an assortment of shoes.
The apparel collection includes a denim jacket with a “Hellfire Club” print on the back, graphic t-shirts, a shirt-short set and accessories.
The sneaker offering consists of the Sk8-Hi, Style 36, Old Skool, Authentic and Slip-On silhouettes. These silhouettes feature Stranger Things prints, illustrations of the Upside Down and Surfer Boy Pizza.
The centerpiece is surely the Sk8-Hi. It’s adorned with a hairy suede upper, enhanced by prints characteristic of the “Upside Down World”. One side of the sneaker features reflective Demogorgons and the other a bike ride silhouette. The whole is based on a transparent outsole, seemingly “crunched” by the sharp teeth of the famous creature.
The other collaborative shoes are inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons club or the Surfer Boy Pizza. They feature an upper adorned with illustrations from the series, skulls, axes and throwing stars, or the classic checkerboard print revisited with mismatched inserts and pizza and palm tree motifs.
These pairs can be purchased with the graphic details developed by the 2 partners or customized to the buyer’s taste.
The Stranger Things x Vans collection is now available in Europe, in Vans stores and on the skate brand’s website, vans.com. It will be released on August 26, 2022 in the United States. Prices range from $100 to $135, depending on the model.
