Simon « Woody » Wood, the creator of SNEAKER FREAKER magazine, has compiled nearly 900 vintage advertisements from major sneaker brands in a book titled « SOLED OUT: The Golden Age of Sneaker Advertising ». Signed by SNEAKER FREAKER, this encyclopedic work is published by Phaidon.

The first international magazine specialized in sneakers was created in 2002 by Woody. SNEAKER FREAKER has a monthly audience of 10 million people. It documents collabs, customs, limited editions and retro reissues with great precision. Passionate about sneakers and their history, Woody is known for his in-depth knowledge and effective writing style.

With this book SOLED OUT: The Golden Age of Sneaker Advertising, he further enriches the sneaker universe by focusing on the advertisements of world-renowned brands. Like an encyclopedia, this book immortalizes 900 advertisements through 720 pages. 13 chapters are devoted to the leading brands, with powerful narration, insider stories and personal revelations.
