The Italian retail platform Slam Jam continues its collaboration with the Beaverton giant. This project is based on the popular Nike Dunk High silhouette. After offering an ultra-limited Dunk High in « White/Clear-Pure Platinum » a few days ago, the two strong partners announced the launch of a « White/ Clear-Black » version.
The design of these AF1s is inspired by the history of the iconic silhouette and the experimental design process developed over the years by Nike. To pay tribute to this dynamic of innovation and the attention to detail in of the Swoosh brand, the Slam Jam rebels wanted to push the boundaries and shake up traditions even further.
Thus, for this collaboration, everything resides in detail, subtlety and the unexpected. This shoe with its simple and classic design hides neat details. It consists of a white leather upper with luminous black suede overlays. Traditional elements are reworked and/or manufactured in a different way. This is the case of the lateral Swooshes made of glossy rubber, which meet at the heel. The Slam Jam label stands out in relief on this new insert, adding a touch of the unexpected and extra originality to the pair. The Nike tongue branding is subtly modified, it appears upside down, as on the former 2019 collaboration the « Class 1977 » Blazer. The perforations on the toe box borrow another design, they are less numerous and form a vertical line. There is also a line of perforations, this time horizontal, on the bottom of the quartel panel. The laces appear two-colored : one side black and the other white, affirming the attention to detail. The exclusive midsole comes in a translucent icy material, combined with an outsole matching the upper to harmonize and complete the look.
The Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High « White/Clear Black » will have a less limited release than the « White/Clear-Pure Platinum » from this pack.
It is expected to be available on the Nike SNKRS app on October 30, 2020, before being available at select retailers. The recommended retail price is 120€. Be ready !
