READYMADE x BAPE

BAPE continues to present us very interesting collabs. After recently partnering with the marketplace Stadium Goods (article available HERE), the famous Japanese streetwear brand is teaming up for the 3rd time with Yuta Hosokawa through his label READYMADE.

The Japanese designer Yuta Hosokawa specializes in using old materials to design his unique pieces. In this upcycling approach, he often uses yokes cut from military bags, uniforms or any other significant products for his production.

This new collab is articulated around 6 emblematic items. In shades of khaki green with touches of bright colors, we first find a down jacket decorated with many patches on the front and colorful letters embroidered on the back composing the slogan « APE SHALL NEVER KILL APE ». Next, we are offered a new READYMADE cargo pant with large thigh pockets and classic shorts featuring the signature graphics. To complete the collection, accessories were made, such as a vintage suitcase and also BABY MILO® PLUSH DOLL and GHILLIE SUIT BAPE® 1000% BE@RBRICK figures. Some of these items are made of or covered in a vintage military velvet-like fabric and others are transformed in bold ways.

The READYMADE x BAPE capsule collection, also featuring BE@RBRICK products, will be released on October 23, 2021 at select retailers and online at bape.com.
