In early September, the famous rapper A$AP Rocky had teased an adidas x Prada collab based on the trendy Forum Low silhouette (article available HERE). First unveiled in white, this luxury sneaker recently surfaced in Triple Black on social media.
These two collaborative versions are part of Prada’s Re-Nylon project. The prestigious Italian brand uses plastics and nylon collected from landfills and oceans to recycle, transform and integrate them into its new collections. Prada aims to convert all of its virgin nylon into reclaimed nylon by the end of 2021.
Like the white iteration, this new black version is designed in a combination of high-end smooth leather and reclaimed nylon. Specifically, it consists of black nylon at the toe box, side panels, heel and eyelets. This base is complemented by matching leather elements : the mudguard, the iconic 3-Stripes on the sides, the tongue and the inner lining. To assert its uniqueness and the Raf Simons touch, the collaborative pair is adorned with a removable Prada zip pocket with triangular logo above the laces. The look is completed by the Prada Milano branding on the tongue, instead of the usual adidas tag, and the sole dressed in black.
