Nike’s silhouette of the moment, the Dunk Low, continues to inspire great brands from every artistic universe. While an exclusive pair reimagined by Los Angeles shop UNION has just surfaced (article available HERE), an SB version developed with legendary American camera manufacturer POLAROID has been unveiled.
Last spring, POLAROID had already put a foot in the street-casualwear by collaborating with the iconic French brand LACOSTE (article available on this site). Today, it explores a little more this field and immerses itself in the world of skateboarding by bringing its touch to the Nike SB Dunk Low.
This first collaboration between the two brands refers to the iconic “Rainbow” POLAROID’s logo.
The shoe consists of a black leather upper with a heel area presented in white leather. The overlays on the forefoot, tongue and laces are dressed in black. To ensure the special look, the famous red, orange, yellow, green and blue POLAROID logo colors are found at a triple side Swoosh. This color combination is repeated on the insole and on a thin strip on the top of the toe box. POLAROID branding appears on the left insole, is embroidered in tone-on-tone on the right heel and stands out in white on the lace tips. An all-white sole harmoniously completes the design.
The POLAROID x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to be released during the month of April 2022, at select skateshops and nike.com, for a price tag around 100$. More details to come, stay tuned !
