The founder of the Parisian brand PIGALLE, Stéphane Ashpool, unveiled a new collaboration with Jordan brand during the presentation of his Fall/Winter 2021 collection at Paris Fashion Week. The two partners reworked the popular AJ 1 silhouette, in Mid format and present it to us in a « Velvet » version.
Historically linked to basketball, PIGALLE maintains a fruitful and solid partnership with Nike and the sub-label Jordan Brand. As usual, the French brand straddles luxury and sportswear. The Air Jordan 1 Mid presented today consists of a velvet upper. They appear entirely in magenta, olive, light green, grey, royal blue or beige. All the elements, such as the overlays, the emblematic Swoosh on the side and the Wings logo at the ankle are also covered in color-matched velvet. On some iterations, the velvet material extends down to the sole, while on others, the sole is made of rubber in a shade reminiscent of the upper.
The Pigalle x Air Jordan 1 Mid « Velvet » may be available to the general public during the year 2021, so stay tuned for the latest official info !
