Following the Nike « NOCTA » apparel collection and the Nike Hot Step Air Terra collaborative sneaker (articles available on this site), Drake is preparing to launch an Air Force 1 re-imagined by its OVO label.
The rumor had been going around for months. Champagne Papi’s friend, Mark Robinson aka OVO Mark, shared an image on his Instagram hinting at this upcoming collaboration.
The sportswear giant and the emblematic Canadian rapper seem to have used the famous Triple White color scheme to dress this shoe. The only photo posted reveals the heel of the new AF1. The heel tab is embellished with Nike and OVO co-brandings embroidered in tone-on-tone. We can imagine that, like the New York brand Supreme, Drake chose to keep the DNA of the iconic Air Force 1, while simply and subtly adding the name of its brand OVO. For now, it seems that the silhouette designed by Bruce Kilgore is dressed in a minimalist, understated and classic design.
