Nike’s SkateBoarding Division continues to expand its highly successful Dunk Low line, already well stocked with successful collaborations and special iterations. In addition to the brand new « Court Purple » and « Chicago » released a few weeks ago (article available HERE), another color tribute to the Air Jordan 1 is presented, the « Classic Green ».
The shoe features the popular « Black Toe » color block from the Air Jordan 1, but the red leather overlay is replaced by a green hue that is more specifically reminiscent of the AJ1 Celtics version of the 2009 DMP pack. The collection paid tribute to the 63 points scored by Michael Jordan in the 1986 game against Larry Bird’s Boston team. For the anecdote, the latter had said at a press conference the famous phrase « God disguised himself as Michael Jordan ».
The white leather covers the panels and the toe box, complemented by black overlays on the mudguard, side swoosh, laceguard and collar. The green shade brings a nice touch of contrast to the back of the foot and also appears to define the tongue branding, laces and outsole. A black tongue and white midsole complete the look.
The Nike SB Dunk Low « Classic Green » will be available in spring 2021 at selected retailers and skateshops, as well as on nike.com, for the regular price of 100€.
