Just like Japan and China, South Korea is a big sneaker market. The most acclaimed sportswear brand is unsurprisingly Nike. To pay tribute to this country, the American giant has declined its flagship silhouette of the moment in a new version of Nike Dunk Low « South Korea ».
This special edition is dressed in the colors of the Korean flag and adopts a trendy mismatched look.
It consists of a white leather base complemented by black leather overlays. The red and blue colors are arranged differently depending on the foot. On the right shoe, the lateral Swoosh is adorned with blue, the heel tab with red and the semi-translucent outsole is also tinted with red. On the left foot, these same elements appear in reversed colors. To affirm the homage to South Korea, the national flag adorns the tongue label of the right shoe and the heel tabs of both feet are embellished with black Nike branding transcribed in Hangeul (the official Korean alphabet). The look is finalized with a white tongue, inner lining, laces and midsole.
The Nike Dunk Low « South Korea » will be released later this year, perhaps as a regional exclusive in South Korea, priced at 110$. For the latest official details, stay tuned…
