Nike Dunk Low “Ceramic”

The American giant Nike continues to offer us very interesting reissues of emblematic pairs released several years ago. After the return of the Dunk Low « Plum » and « Veneer » earlier this year, the brand at the Swoosh is offering us another Japanese exclusivity dating from 2001, the « Ceramic » iteration.

This « CO.JP » shoe was originally part of the 2001 « Ugly Duckling » pack, with the « Plum » and « Veneer » colorways. This collection has become emblematic and highly prized by many sneakerheads around the world. This release also preceded the arrival of the Nike SB program in 2002 and marked the beginning of the revival of the Dunk silhouette that continues to this day, with anthology collaborations and cult iterations. In fact, the silhouette created by Peter Moore in 1985 for the « Nike College Colors » program has just been voted « shoe of the year 2020 » by Footwears News magazine.

The shoe is based on the characteristics and colors of the original model. It consists of a black premium suede upper with overlays of the same material in Ceramic Orange. The side swoosh, laces and heel tab are Green Nori and the tongue is black mesh like the 2001 model. This green color is used to define the Nike branding woven on the tongue label and inscribed on the Ceramic Orange insole. A Ceramic orange inner lining and the Nike branding embroidered with black thread on the Nori Green heel tab complete the design. To bring a nice touch of contrast and harmony, the whole is based on a pure white midsole combined with a Ceramic Orange rubber outsole.

The Nike Dunk Low « Ceramic » will be released on November 19 on Nike.com and at selected retailers such as FOOTSHOP, AFEW, END, 43rdinhalb, Titolo, Shinzo, Patta or Size?, for a recommended retail price of 100€. Many raffles are already open, good luck !
