Building on the success of their previous collaborations, Maison Margiela and Reebok are teaming up once again to reinterpret a new archival silhouette. After a duo of Classic Leather and Club C released last month, the French high fashion brand brings its luxurious touch to the Pump Omni Zone II.

The collaboration is part of the celebration of the 22-year anniversary of the Reebok’s cult model.

Margiela’s TZ Pump Deadstock version is based on a 3D scan of the original Reebok Pump Omni Zoom II. It also pays homage to the modernized version, the TZ Pump, originally released in 1990, which is the result of a mix between the Reebok archive pair and John Galliano’s deconstructed style.

This collaborative pair comes in 3 color options, blue, red and green. It features a worn look that mimics the hydrolysis process, a technique first used by Maison Margiela on the DDSTCK sneaker in 2020.

The shoe consists of a white leather upper with a distressed and cracked aesthetic, contrasted by titular color elements : eyelets, collar, laces, details on the sides of the foot and embroidered REEBOK branding on the side heel. The tongue features co-branding and the legendary original « Pump » technology. To commemorate 22 years of the Pump Omni Zone II, this collaborative pair gets a « 22 the pump » hang tag. The whole is based on a cracked, hand-painted midsole that evokes the condition an OG pair would have today.

The Maison Margiela x Reebok TZ Pump Deadstock trio will first be released on November 18, 2022 on the French brand’s website maisonmargiela.com, before undergoing a wider launch on reebok.com. The price is set at $1150 per pair.
