Lego x Adidas ZX 8000

German giant adidas tease another collaboration as part of its new A-Z series from 2020-2021. This collection, originally introduced in 2008, is composed of 26 variations corresponding to each letter of the alphabet (different articles available on this site). Today, a glimpse of a stunning adidas ZX 8000 revisited by renowned Danish assembly toy company LEGO has surfaced.

The first visual highlights the shoe box made of LEGO briquettes. This mini-video shows the ZX 8000 silhouette with details that refer to the world-famous construction game.

According to this first glimpse, the shoe is adorned with bright and diverse colors, in reference to the famous briquettes to be assembled. We find an off-white mesh upper with light beige suede overlays and small black suede inserts. These rather neutral shades highlight the primary color accents, such as the yellow laces and the red laceguard in the design of a LEGO briquette. Blue color elements appear on the toe and on the heel clip. The iconic adidas 3-stripes have yellow contours and the inner lining is in black color. A green LEGO brick-style laces dubrae and a red tongue label typical of the Danish gaming brand ensure the design. The whole is based on a yellow midsole and outsole appearing to be semi-translucent lighty coloured in red.

The adidas Lego x adidas ZX 8000 as part of the adidas A-Z series could be released on September 25, 2020, on adidas.com and at selected retailers for a price of 130€. Info to be confirmed, stay tuned !
