After celebrating its 90th anniversary in New York with a special day last September, the legendary LACOSTE brand unveils the lookbook for its Spring Summer 2024 collection.
This new assortment of products was designed by Pelagia Kolotouros, the brand’s Creative Director, and photographed by Amit Isreali.
The new LACOSTE collection says “Welcome to French fashion sport”. For 90 years, Lacoste has been creating silhouettes that straddle the line between fashion and sport. For its latest opus, the iconic Crocodile brand adds a very French vibe to the design of its products. The key words are : Freedom, Creativity and Simplicity.
The silhouettes, inspired by René Lacoste, boast an elegant aesthetic that continues to celebrate Lacoste’s legendary savoir-faire. While remaining ‘fashion sport’, these items show an evolution towards French sophistication.
The color palette used corresponds to the codes of the iconic brand. We find monochrome or mixed shades, soft hues and bright ones that bring modernity.
The famous Croco logo is featured on shirts and polo shirts, as well as on knitwear such as cardigans, zip-up sweaters and V-necks. Similarly, suitshave been reinterpreted in supple, sporty materials. Tracksuits, shorts, skirts, Varsity jackets and trench coats have been reworked to appeal to all generations.
The collection also includes new designs and accessories, such as a cotton piqué bodysuit, a mini golf bag inspired by the archives of Catherine Lacoste (daughter of René Lacoste and golf champion), the new 2K24 which is the latest addition to the L003 shoe family, underwear that is no longer hidden, but subtly revealed thanks to an elastic waistband, as well as a scarf, with an all-over print designed by Robert George (best friend of René Lacoste), and modern sunglasses.
Combining heritage and innovation, these pieces can be worn alone or layered to create a modern, exclusive style. They symbolize Lacoste’s expertise, and bear witness to the meticulous craftsmanship of materials and cuts.
