The fashion brand of Japanese streetwear icon Nigo, HUMAN MADE, continues its partnership with German giant adidas. After revisiting the Rivalry Low shoe a few months ago (article available HERE), the talented designer is teasing a brand new silhouette on his Instagram account : the adidas Tokio Solar.
This sneaker is inspired by the 1962 adidas Tokio model, designed for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. In an interview with Complex, Nigo emphasized that the theme of this new collaboration is the city of Tokyo, and its inspiration comes from Japan in the 80s.
In the photo unveiled by the Japanese designer, we can see the back and side of the shoe. Underneath, on the heel, two adidas leather stripes draw a cross-shaped pattern. The Primeknit upper is accented with suede overlays and iconic adidas 3 side stripes are made of leather. Laces decorated with polka dots complete the design. The whole is based on a high performance sole with Boost technology.
The Human Made x adidas Tokio Solar is scheduled to be available exclusively on adidas.com and in a variety of colorways on September 25, 2020. More info coming soon, stay tuned…
