Frame Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low « Habibi »

At the moment, the Nike SB Dunk Low is one of the most used silhouettes for collaborations. The skateboarding division of the Swoosh brand has partnered with many artists, brands and skate shops to bring their personal touch to this popular sneaker. After the Berlin skate shop Civilist (article available HERE), it’s now the turn of the Dubai store FRAME SKATE to present its vision of the Nike SB Dunk Low.

The shoe is dressed in a color palette inspired by the flag of the United Arab Emirates : white, red, green and black. The name « Habibi » comes from a tender familiar nickname used between close friends or lovers, it means « my darling / my love ».

The sneaker consists of an upper combining white grained leather on the toe box, laceguard and collar, with color-matched synthetic material on the side panels. Red nubuck overlays add a nice touch of contrast. Like the collaborations with the Sacai label, we find a double Swoosh on the side and a double tongue. Here, a black Swoosh rests on a ribbed green Swoosh and the tongues are white and black, arranged differently depending on the foot. White and red oversize laces with a pattern reminiscent of the famous « houndstooth » and almost invisible tongue brandings finalize the design. The whole is based on a yellowed white midsole and a gumsole.

The Frame Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low « Habibi » will be released before the end of this year 2020, in selected skate shops and on Nike.com, for a price around to 100€. More info coming soon, stay connected…
