The French capital has a new rising fashion brand to follow closely : NOMA ‘LUM. Its creator, Abdelhak aka @hakmiller, unveils his very first clothing collection.
NOMA ‘LUM means ‘what remains to be explored/the unknown’ in Uzbek.
Through his brand, the young designer based in Paris wants to bring another dimension to lifestyle clothing. To design his pieces, he focuses on comfort and quality, the two main values in his eyes. Hak Milller draws his inspiration from the people around him, notably his elders and in particular his dad. He also confides that he’s influenced by the bold style of multidisciplinary artist Pharrell Williams and his band ‘The Neptunes’, as well as by the tailoring side of Tom Ford. The 30-year-old designer trusts his feeling to offer us items that are like him and that tell a story.
Regarding this very first collection, the founder of NOMA ‘LUM explained : « I tried to go through all the different influences of my life, from travel to people, food, sports or arts, keeping the main thing which is comfort. I worked with the colors that I mainly wear everyday, and the main characters of this collection are wool and cashmere. The goal was to display silhouettes that I use for myself on a daily basis, as a message to the wearer. »
The exclusive capsule consists of streetwear-chic pieces made from premium materials, including wool and cashmere.
It includes an elegant taupe jacket with white/coral/khaki tapestry-like floral prints, a thick and refined khaki shirt, a navy blue kimono-inspired vest and 2 styles of pants, one brown with a cut reminiscent of baggy jeans, the other black pinch pants reworked to provide comfort similar to that of a tracksuit..
A trio of raw wood pieces handcrafted in Morocco will also be available in the boutique.
The very first NOMA ‘LUM collection will be available from Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 11:30 am to Saturday, January 21, 2023 until 5:00 pm, in a Pop-Up Store located at 12 rue de Montmorency in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. Let’s go !
