The END. shop plays an important role in spreading street culture by offering exclusive and highly sought after products and bold collaborations. After teaming up with Beams Plus and Fracap last week, the famous British retailer unveils its first ever project with Portland-based innovative footwear brand KEEN.
Founded 20 years ago, in 2003, KEEN is an avant-garde brand that designs new generation shoes, mixed and environmentally friendly. In total connection with nature, the creators of this label felt the responsibility to protect and conserve the natural heritage “that allows us to live, play, create and work”. KEEN’s goal is to be a driver of change for the good of Mother Nature. The idea is to raise awareness and leave a better world for future generations. The 3 principles of KEEN are : Give back, Act and Reduce its impact on the environment and has the slogan “A shoe that does good for the environment”.
In 2014, KEEN launched the Uneek silhouette. This model embodies the brand’s commitment to uncompromising footwear, opting for an original, versatile and functional design that celebrates the joys of the outdoors with elegance.
The END. shop drew inspiration from the ancient practice of kite-flying and the British coastline to bring its touch to this famous silhouette. This special “Kites” version combines the spirit of freedom that kite flying conveys with the special aesthetic of the model.
The collaborative Uneek comes in a neutral, earthy color palette of Vetiver and Creme Brulee tones that evoke the different shades of beach sand, dunes and coastal features of rural Britain. It’s made with KEEN’s signature recycled PET plastic cords. This construction method provides enhanced foot comfort, offering malleable support for increased freedom of movement and support. The sandal style is enhanced by an opening on the back of the heel. The shoe also features a comfortable and effective PU insole that provides arch support and KEEN’s Eco Anti-Odor that naturally controls odor. To affirm the collaboration, the sage green END. branding is engraved on the off-white tongue. The whole is based on an off-white, non-marking rubber outsole with razor-blade grooves to wick away water and ensure traction.
The END. x KEEN Uneek “Kites” will be released on May 12, 2023 via an open raffle on launches.endclothing.com. Let’s go !
