The prestigious German brand KangaROOS presents a new Ultimate designed in collaboration with the Berlin-based production company EASYdoesit, specialized in audiovisuals. This Made In Germany (MiG) shoe pays homage to the legendary Sony VX1000 camera released in 1995, which has become a strong symbol of skateboard culture.
Maxim, the founder of EASYdoesit, grew up with this iconic cassette camera representing the underground culture of the 90’s. With its compact size, rugged construction and legendary fish-eye lens, it has a legendary status in the video scene and continues to be used even today by the best skateboard filmmakers and for some rap videos.
This shoe is made of high-end materials and is manufactured in Germany by the talented craftsmen at Hummel & Hummel of KangaROOS. The design and the color palette refer to the different parts of the Sony VX1000. The upper in breathable steel grey mesh features jet black suede overlays and 3M reflective details. To complete the tribute to the iconic camera, mint accents appear on the sneaker, such as the lower eyelets, the EASYdoesit heel branding applied in a « zoom » style and the insole covered with print from this Berlin-based brand with the added bonus of the inscription « Kick Some Asses ». Reflective two-tone laces, a kangaROOS 3M tongue label, the pair number under the ankle and camera references on the side heel finalize the look. A white midsole combined with a mint outsole ensures the harmony of the design.
