Coral Studio x Nike Air Max 95 V2

Creative agency CORAL STUDIO, co-founded by New Yorker Ismaila Traoré, is once again partnering with Nike to bring us a second version of the collaborative Air Max 95 released in 2018.

The initial AM95 was a very limited edition, 50 pairs only, and aimed to raise awareness for the threatened ecosystem of the Great Barrier Reef. The profits from sales had been fully donated to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.

The words of Ismaila Traoré about this new version : « It’s a love letter to our supporters who could not buy the first version ».

This AM95 V2 presented today, resembles the first iteration by the color palette inspired by the Great Barrier Reef. We find the bold blue, black and orange color block symbolizing the threatened ecosystem. The difference comes from the materials used. This pair features a premium leather upper in two tones, black and blue, replacing the suede of the previous version. The laces and eyelets appear in coral orange color and the mini Swoosh embroidered at the side heel is rather coral pink. The turquoise color that dresses the inner lining and the visible Air units adds an additional reference to the marine environment. The whole is based on a black sole finalizing the design in a harmonious way.

For the sake of ecology and nature protection, the pair comes in a package made to be easily recycled.

The Coral Studio x Nike Air Max 95 V2 will be released on April 3, 2021 at coralstudio.co/shop. Pricing and number of pairs have yet to be announced…Stay tuned !
