Since March 9, 2023, the French ‘anti-hero’ rapper SPIDER ZED has been on the road as part of his “Club de cœur” tour. Eagerly awaited by his fans in the south of France, he performed on stage at the Metronum in Toulouse on April 13, 2023.
Organized by the Toulouse agency BLEU CITRON, this concert attracted a good number of people, as many women as men.
SPIDER ZED is a former member of the High Five Crew who is enjoying a successful solo career. He writes catchy sounds that are as sincere as they are self-deprecating. This rapper sings about his life with humor, while revealing his sensitive and fragile side. He enjoys a great popularity and has a loyal audience that recognizes himself in his simple and honest attitude. On the discography side, Marin aka Spider Zed releases his first EP “Mes ex” in February 2017, which will be followed by 5 others including “Figurine” and “Abonnez-vous”. At the end of 2020, he presents his first album “Jeune intermittent” where we find the title “C’est pas bien” featuring the brother stars of Toulouse, BigFlo & Oli. His 2nd album, “Club de coeur” was released earlier this year, on January 13, 2023.
The show started at 8:30 pm with AUPINARD from Bordeaux in the first part. Accompanied by his sidekick saxophonist and keyboardist ISMATRICULE, the artist arrived with his guitar and made us enter his musical universe based on Bossa Nova. His smooth voice and his chill style immediately seduced the audience. Aupinard was even moved ! After 30 minutes of show, the 2 musicians left the stage with a ‘battle’ of guitar and sax.
At 9:20 pm, SPIDER ZED took place on the METRONUM stage under the guitar solo of his friend (from high school) and musician JULES, who also plays synth. He opened the show with the song “En ce moment” from his latest album. True to the artist’s message of love, the set included a luminous heart and he himself was dressed in a denim jacket covered with multiple ‘heart’ pins of different colors. After greeting the audience, Spider Zed performed the songs “Club de coeur”, “Moins con” and “Pour du beurre”, then exchanged with the crowd and played the song “Ce que tu veux”.
During the 1h15 of concert, the rapper did not only talk to the public, he laughed with him and confided like a pal. For example, in the introduction of the next song “Enfant star”, Spider Zed explains that he’s ‘researching the social networks of his former classmates to see what they have become’. He is proud of them and hopes they are also proud of him.
The show continues with the good vibe conveyed by the rapper. He plays a few notes of synth to launch the banger “Chaussettes” from his 1st album. Having fun with the public, the artist asks to separate the room in 2 so that the atmosphere is at the top for “Sous la douche”. Small running gag of Spider Zed : When his laces are untied, the crowd must shout his name while he ties them again (he can take a malicious pleasure to make the exercise last !). Another small game, to make a ‘battle’ between the 2 sides of the room. He takes care of one group and Jules of the other when the time comes to play the famous song “C’est pas bien”. For info, Big Flo & Oli were not there, they gave a concert at the Zenith of Toulouse the same evening.
In a cool, joyful and positive atmosphere, the audience could also enjoy the live performances of “Dans ma tête”, “Vanessa”, “Pq j’suis comme ça”, “Tous les deux”, “Pas si sûr”, “Mes Ex, Pt.I”, “Tous les gens” in heart with the audience, “Domaj” and “25 ans” with the guitar solo of Jules. SPIDER ZED delivered a positive message of self-confidence to the many people who came to see him on stage before closing the concert with “Devenir adulte”.
For the encore, the 2 friends, Spider Zed and Jules, played the famous song that flirts with electro “ça doit bugger”.
SPIDER ZED brought his good vibe to the Metronum of Toulouse. Hyper grateful to his audience, he came to take orders at the merch stand after the show and enjoyed exchanging and signing autographs. The artist’s tour ended on April 22 in Auxerre, after a sold out show at the Maroquinerie of Paris. You can follow his news via his Instagram account !
