French luxury fashion house LOUIS VUITTON presents an attractive new capsule imagined by Pharrell William, the brand’s creative director, and his artist and designer friend Tyler, The Creator. This new opus follows the success of Pharrell’s 1st fashion show and 1st collection for the prestigious fashion brand.
In the past, Tyler, The Creator had already collaborated with Louis Vuitton, not on clothes but on a soundtrack for the late Virgil Abloh’s Fall-Winter 2022-23 menswear show.
Commenting on the collaboration with Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell Williams said : “Tyler has been my close friend and collaborator for years. I admire his eye and we’ve always connected on music, fashion and jewelry.”
The 2 friends unveil an eclectic selection of pieces, fusing LV heritage with Pharrell’s streetwear influences and Tyler’s colorful inspirations.
Items in this Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 capsule sport a retro-chic look inspired by school uniforms and golf attire, evoking Tyler, The Creator’s signature brand style, GOLF LA FLEUR, as well as Pharrell Williams’ favorite designs.
The capsule features a variety of jacket styles, including a patch parka, a colorful down jacket, a wide-collar Varsity jacket, a suit jacket emblazoned with the LV monogram, as well as shorts – the signature piece of Tyler, The Creator’s wardrobe – vintage sweaters, pleated pants, vests and shirts, and a series of accessories including a wide selection of bags.
These pieces are presented in a combination of dark and colorful tones, and adorned with the ‘Craggy Monogram’, a logo designed by Tyler, The Creator, in pastel, vanilla or chocolate hues referring to pastries. The 2 iconic Tyler graphics, the daisy and the Aierdale Terrier, are presented together with the iconic LV Monogram Flower.
