The famous technical outdoor brand THE NORTH FACE continues to present high-end collaborations. After having worked recently with SUPREME and KAWS (articles available on this site), the iconic American label is back with the Japanese imprint HENDER SCHEME for a new capsule of shoes and accessories.
Just like last Spring/Summer season, the two partners present a collection of special shoes and bags with an outoor chic style.
The brand of designer Ryo Kashiwazaki brought his unique touch to 2 pairs of shoes and 4 bags TNF.
On the footwear side, we discover a Schlaf boot and a VECTIV Escape sneaker in black.
The first one is a mix between a technical snow shoe and an avant-garde boot. It features a waterproof nylon upper, completed with a cowhide mudguard. TNF and Hender Scheme equipped this boot with an exclusive folding gaiter that adjusts with black cords. The branding details add a unique touch of contrast with their white/beige color. The North Face logo stands out on the front side of the foot and the Hender Scheme tag is sewn on the back side. The whole is based on a thick, redesigned Vibram technical sole for added elegance.
The VECTIV Escape is made with vegetable leather, combined with knit on the base and TPU overlays. To increase comfort and performance, the pair benefits from a quick lacing system and tongue and heel pulls. TNF and Hender Scheme branding appear on the side heel. The thick midsole features EVA cushioning and the outsole is adorned with CTRL rubber for added durability.
As far as bags go, The North Face revisited the Wasatch backpack and MB Lumbar handbag from Hender Scheme. Equipped with vegetable-tanned leather handles, these bags are designed using rugged 1680D Cordura Ballistic nylon and cowhide leather. They are equipped with removable pockets to best suit the needs of each user. To take it a step further, these pouches can be worn independently with a removable carabiner strap.
The Hender Scheme x The North Face SS22 collection will be released on April 2, 2022 in Japan in stores and via raffles set up on the Japanese label’s website henderscheme.com and on goldwin.co.jp. Prices range from $90 (¥11,000) to $322 (¥39,600). Don’t sleep !
