After having recently teamed up with ATMOS, BEAMS or PALACE (articles available on this site), the French outdoor brand SALOMON collaborates for the fifth time with another outdoor specialist, the famous Japanese label AND WANDER. Always drawing inspiration from nature, 3 silhouettes have been reinterpreted : the XT-6, the Odyssey and the Outpath.
For years, SALOMON and AND WANDER have had a strong collaborative relationship. Together they have designed a number of outdoor shoes, staying true to their shared influence of nature and outdoor activities.
The sneakers in this new collaborative capsule combine performance and style.
The popular XT-6 retains its technical features and is adorned with an understated design. It features a black upper with a tongue and matching lacing system. A touch of contrast is provided by a blue insert around the white sole. The co-branding adorns the bottom of the tongue.
The Odyssey technical shoe has been reworked to look like a boot. It features a rugged construction in a green colorway with reflective details on the side panels. The shoe has no laces but a zip for added style while providing comfort and support. This trendy design is complemented by a green sole that matches the upper and the AND WANDER branding applied to the long tongue pull.
The lesser known silhouette of the 3, the Outpath, is a hiking shoe reinterpreted in trendy hues. It’s dressed in brown with touches of deep green and blue, especially on the toe, tongue and inner lining. The midsole upper is presented in a yellow/light brown color and the rest of the sole, as well as the cleats, appears in off-white. The reflective AND WANDER branding is emblazoned on the top of the tongue.
The SALOMON x And Wander capsule collection pieces are scheduled to be released on separate dates at select retailers and on andwander.com. The Odyssey and Outpath will be available on September 24, 2021 and the XT-6 will arrive within the next month. More details to come, stay tuned !
