ASICS HS4-S GEL-Sonoma 15-50 GTX

The Japanese brand ASICS has decided to be on the front of the sneaker scene. These last months have been punctuated by a series of beautiful collaborations and exclusive products. Many successes are due to the designer Kiko Kostadinov, the creative head of the division Asics SportStyle. A few weeks after presenting us the new HN2-S PROTOBLAST (article available HERE), the Bulgarian designer unveils an ASICS HS4-S GEL-Sonoma 15-50 GTX.

Kiko Kostadinov and his studio have reinterpreted the famous GEL-Sonoma. They were inspired by the different iterations that have been improved over the years.

The HS4-S version retains the aggressive look of the original trail running shoe. It’s also inspired by the vintage colorways.

This sneaker is offered in 3 makeups : one in a combination of earth tones, an other in teal blue and the latter in bright blue/grey.

Durable and technical, this silhouette is also lifestyle. It consists of an upper that combines Gore-Tex fabric with rugged synthetic materials. The iconic Tiger Stripes of asics are modified and now appear with 2 plastic panels forming the vertical lines. A heel brace with a stripe design and etched linear patterns on the front overlay add character to the pair. Flat laces feature a dotted pattern and asymmetrical tongue pulls appear as a signature detail of Kiko Kostadinov. A thick, comfortable two-tone midsole and a durable spiked outsole in a third color, adds the finishing touch to the design.

The ASICS HS4-S GEL-Sonoma 15-50 GTX is expected to be released soon at select retailers and on asics.com. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
