10 years ago, the Asics Gel Lyte III x Woei “Cervidae” was released. One of the most beautiful collaborations between Asics and the Dutch shop Woei. Having finally been able to get my hands on it at the beginning of January 2022, I suggest you to discover or rediscover it in pictures on my feet.
The pair of premium quality consists of a suede and leather upper ranging from brown to beige through off-white. We find mountain-style hooks in place of eyelets, as well as plenty of engraved “Woei” branding details at the heel, back and side counter. 3M detailing completes the look. The whole is based on a white midsole and a gum outsole.
As you can see, for me this is one of the most beautiful collaborations done on the Gel Lyte III silhouette. I still thank my friend Flow from Shoez Gallery, without whom I would never have had this DS pair in my size. The quality of materials and finishes are of an exceptional level, as well as the distribution of colors that seems harmonious to me. This is a real grail in a sneaker addict’s collection.
