For some time now, major sportswear brands have been inviting musical artists to bring their touch to cult silhouettes of their catalogs. While adidas was right to partner with rapper Bad Bunny (several articles available on this site), Reebok introduces a collection « The Sky Above The Street » designed with the reggaeton singer Anuel AA.
This 1st collaboration includes iconic Reebok silhouettes : the Pump Omni Zone II and the Classic Leather.
These revamped models feature the same eye-catching look in shades of black and red.
They consist of an upper that combines classic and innovative materials. The black base is accented with bright red or red gradient elements.
On the Classic Leather, the traditional Reebok side branding has been replaced with the artist’s first name : Anuel. To complete the special look, the side stripes appear in translucent material and a dubrae has been added. The whole is based on a white midsole and a classic black outsole.
The Pump Omni Zone has its black base contrasted with red elements, such as part of the quarter panel, the lace cage, the collar and the legendary Pump inflation button. On this pair, the REEBOK branding is retained on the side heel and the artist’s name adorns the back of the heel. These branding details are dressed in the color white. This same color is found on the midsole. A black rubber outsole harmoniously finalizes the design.
The Anuel AA x Reebok « The Sky Above The Street » capsule is released exclusively at Foot Locker in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before a general release on August 26, 2022 on footlocker.com. Don’t sleep !
