In order to continue to honor its large fan base in Greater China, Jordan Brand is expanding its « Greater China » collection. An exclusive sneaker is added today to this range celebrating the eminence of the Jumpman’s brand in these territories : an Air Jordan 7 GC « China ».
This pair features a design worked in the spirit of Chinese traditions and art. The colour palette ranges from white to black, red, blue, green and gold.
The shoe consists of a black nubuck upper with white leather overlays. These materials are patterned : on the side of the nubuck shoe is a tone-on-tone glazed dragon. On the white leather parts, this motif continues and appears engraved, particularly in the form of scales. The originality and charm of the pair are accentuated by a meticulous work of traditional Chinese art, which gives the impression of being woven, on the inside. Unlike the rest of the shoe, the overlays on this work appear in smooth black leather. To affirm the style, the side collar is dressed in red nubuck and the Jumpman is embroidered in metallic gold. The black colour chosen to define the inner collar, tongue and laces highlights the brightly coloured inserts. To finalize the design, Chinese kanji motifs decorate the tongue and heels. The whole is based on a white midsole with red and gold inserts. The predominantly black outsole adds an extra touch of Green Glow colour under the toes and heel, completing the matching.
The Air Jordan 7 GC « China » will be released for the fall 2020 Jordan Brand collection, on September 12, 2020 at selected retailers in Greater China and on Nike.com for 200€.
