In April 2020, the American rapper Travis Scott created the buzz on Instagram by unveiling, perhaps in spite of himself, an unreleased Air Jordan 6 in beige/khaki and red colorway. Today, the serious @py_rates_ account posted a mock up of this silhouette, resembling in every way the pair seen at the feet of La Flame earlier this year. One can therefore strongly wonder if this Air Jordan 6 « British Khaki/Bright Crimson-Sail » might not be the next collaboration with the multidisciplinary artist ?…
According to the mock up, the shoe consists of a perforated beige/khaki suede upper with tone-on-tone overlays. The mesh tongue comes in a slightly darker shade, with a translucent part and a luminous dark red leather insert with the Jumpman. A reminder of the latter shade appears on the Sail heel tab. The Sail coloured laces and the beige/khaki lock laces harmonise the look of the pair. To complete the design and ensure the matching, the whole is based on a Sail and bright dark red midsole and a beige/khaki outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 « British Khaki/Bright Crimson-Sail » (created with or without the collaboration of Travis Scott) is scheduled for release in the spring of 2021 at selected retailers for a price of €250.
