The Japanese reference shop ATMOS continues to feed its « G-SNK » collection designed with adidas Originals and launched over 10 years ago. In addition to the ZX8000 « TJ » and « Brazil » released earlier this year (articles available on this site), Koji and his team introduce an « EQT » version paying homage to the famous ADIDAS performance series of the same name.
ADIDAS introduced the « EQT » series in 1991. This technical line develops performance footwear with excellent functionality, support and comfort, under the concept « for all athlètes ».
This new ZX 8000 G-SNK ATMOS combines 3 elements : the DNA of the original model, the essence of the EQT and the G-SNK glow-in-the-dark patterns.
ATMOS dresses this latest variation with the iconic colors of the EQT.
It consists of a white upper with grey overlays and blue side 3-Stripes. These 2 inserts, as well as the heel, are equipped with the reflective material G-SNK in shades of green and blue. The inner side of the tongue tag features the honorific « EQT SUPPORT RUNNING 91 » and the brandings « adidas TORSION/ ZX8000 ». To affirm the vintage inspiration, the heel reinforcement and midsole appear in a yellowed color. A blue front clip and black rubber outsole finish off the design nicely.
The adidas Originals ZX 8000 G-SNK atmos « EQT » will be released on August 20, 2022 at a price of $132 (¥17,600), in ATMOS stores and online at atmos-tokyo.com via a now open raffle. Good luck !
