Le shop britannique END. est réputé pour son offre de produits limités de grandes marques streetwear, mais aussi pour ses choix de collaboration de haute qualité. Après avoir fait équipe récemment avec adidas, l’enseigne basée à Newcastle s’associe une nouvelle fois au label outdoor français SALOMON pour apporter sa touche à la silhouette de la XT-6.
Nommée « Dark Truffle », cette paire spéciale fait suite à la XT-Wings 2 « Sirroco » collaborative sortie en février 2022.
Comme son nom l’indique, la END. x Salomon XT-6 « Dark Truffle » fait référence à la truffe noire, une espèce de champignons comestibles reconnue par les plus fins gastronomes comme étant le « diamant noir » de la cuisine. Cette sneaker collaborative s’inspire de la recherche de la truffe en forêt, aux pieds des arbres, généralement dans le sud de l’Europe. Récoltée et consommée depuis 4000 ans, la truffe noire est un mets d’exception. Sa saveur riche et terreuses apporte un goût unique et très recherché aux plats.
La silhouette technique et robuste de la XT-6 arbore un look reflétant l’apparence de la truffe noire. Elle se compose d’un upper en matériau technique de couleur noire, associé à des teintes marron clair et blanc cassé au niveau des éléments thermocollés qui rappellent le marbrage interne de la truffe. La paire est ornée de détails de branding SALOMON sur différentes parties du pied, comme le talon latéral, la toe box et la languette, alors que le co-branding END. x SALOMON se distingue uniquement sur l’insole graphique. L’ensemble repose sur une unité de semelle Contragrip de couleur marron clair, beige et verte évoquant l’environnement boisé où les truffes se développent et se récoltent.
Pour mettre en lumière cette nouvelle collab, END. a invité le chef cuisinier hyper populaire sur les réseaux sociaux, Laurent Dagenais, à participer au lookbook. Le shooting a été réalisé dans les bois en compagnie d’un chien, afin de nous transporter dans un voyage dans la nature à la recherche de truffes noires.

As its name suggests, the END. x Salomon XT-6 « Dark Truffle » refers to the black truffle, a species of edible mushroom recognized by the most discerning gourmets as the « black diamond » of the kitchen. This collaborative sneaker is inspired by the search for truffles in the forest, at the foot of trees, generally in southern Europe. Harvested and consumed for 4000 years, the black truffle is an exceptional dish. Its rich and earthy flavor brings a unique and highly sought-after taste to dishes.
The technical and robust silhouette of the XT-6 sports a look that reflects the appearance of the black truffle. It consists of an upper in black technical material, combined with light brown and off-white hues on the heat-sealed elements that recall the internal marbling of the truffle. The pair is adorned with SALOMON branding details on different parts of the foot, such as the lateral heel, the toe box and the tongue, while the END co-branding. x SALOMON stands out only on the graphic insole. The whole thing sits on a Contragrip sole unit in light brown, beige and green colors evoking the wooded environment where truffles grow and are harvested.
To highlight this new collab, END. invited the hyper-popular chef on social networks, Laurent Dagenais, to participate in the lookbook. The shooting was carried out in the woods in the company of a dog, in order to transport us on a journey in nature in search of black truffles.
