The British shop END. started the year 2022 with an eye-catching colllab with the legendary brand Dickies (article available HERE). The famous retailer continues its momentum and unveils a new project with the French outdoor brand SALOMON.
For this first ever collaboration, END. has revisited SALOMON’s top-of-the-line trail running silhouette, the XT-Wing 2.
Named « Sirocco », this exclusive shoe is inspired by the Sahara Desert and the world’s toughest running event, the Marathon des Sables. The name of this collaborative pair refers to the very dry and hot Saharan wind. It causes the movement of dust from the desert to the Mediterranean coast with the phenomenon of « blood rain » : rust-colored precipitation caused by a mixture of dust and moisture.
The sneaker therefore appears in a color palette honoring the unique atmosphere of the Sahara desert. It consists of a breathable mesh upper with synthetic overlays in shades of peach and brown corresponding to the sand dunes, dust clouds and rains of the Sahara. To complete the design, elements are featured in white, such as branding details, the midsole and thin laces secured with a quick buckle for easy and efficient adjustments. To ensure premium grip, cushioning and durability, the whole is based on a brown Contagrip technology outsole.
